Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related field.Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CFA, CBA, or Credit Certification are preferred.Experience:·        Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Credit, Lending, Risk Management, or Banking Operations.·        Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.·        Experience in Microfinance, SME, Banking, or Financial Services sectors is highly preferred.·        Strong background in credit assessment, underwriting, and portfolio management.Skills & Abilities:·        Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.·        Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.·        Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.·        Ability to manage multiple priorities and operational demands.·        High attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance.·        Strong presentation and reporting capabilities.Knowledge:·        In-depth understanding of Microfinance and SME credit methodologies.·        Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis and cash flow assessment.·        Familiarity with FRA regulations, credit governance, and compliance standards.·        Knowledge of credit scoring models, portfolio analysis, and risk frameworks.·        Understanding of operational workflows and credit approval processes.
Description
·        Develop, review, and implement credit policies, procedures, and lending guidelines in line with company strategy and FRA regulations.·        Oversee credit assessment and approval activities across Microfinance and SME credit functions.·        Review high-risk, exceptional, and large credit cases prior to approval or escalation.·        Ensure compliance with internal credit frameworks, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.·        Monitor portfolio quality indicators including PAR, delinquency ratios, approval/decline ratios, and portfolio concentration risks.·        Analyze credit trends, emerging risks, and portfolio performance to recommend corrective actions and mitigation plans.·        Monitor and improve Credit Turnaround Time (TAT) across all branches and operational channels.·        Ensure consistency and quality of credit analysis and underwriting standards.·        Coordinate with Risk, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Business teams to support efficient credit processes.·        Prepare periodic credit performance dashboards, portfolio analysis reports, and management presentations.·        Support strategic initiatives related to portfolio growth, risk optimization, and operational efficiency.·        Lead, coach, and evaluate Credit Supervisors, Senior Analysts, and Credit Teams to ensure high performance and capability development.·        Support training and development initiatives to enhance technical and behavioral competencies within the credit function.·        Ensure proper workload distribution, performance monitoring, and succession planning within the department.·        Participate in audit reviews and ensure proper implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.·        Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational enhancement within credit operations.
