ResponsibilitiesHere's what you'll do during a typical day: Prepare high-quality pastry products: Prepare, bake, and finish a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, and other sweet items according to standard recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation Supervise the pastry team: Oversee and support Commis Chefs and other team members within the assigned pastry section, providing guidance and ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the absence of senior chefs Maintain pastry kitchen cleanliness: Keep all pastry work areas, equipment, and utensils clean, organised, and free from cross-contamination, following food safety and hygiene standards Ensure product quality and storage compliance: Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients and finished products, ensuring proper storage, labelling, and stock rotation Assist with cost management: Contribute to controlling food costs by minimising waste, following portion standards, and using ingredients efficiently to support departmental financial targets Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and food hygiene regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeingQualificationsDiploma or Bachelor in Pastry ArtsPreviously work in high volume Pastry KitchenComputer skillsCommunication skillsAbout The TeamHow We'll Help You ThriveBenefitsAt Hilton, the hospitality we're known for doesn't end with our guests.
