Role overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary clinical environment alongside surgeons, intensivists, nurses, operating theatre teams, and allied healthcare professionals, supported by advanced operating theatres, critical care facilities, and modern perioperative infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Provide consultant-level anesthesia care for elective and emergency surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments, patient risk evaluations, and perioperative optimization for complex surgical cases.
Administer general, regional, neuraxial, and monitored anesthesia care in accordance with clinical guidelines and hospital protocols.
Manage airway emergencies, postoperative recovery, acute pain management, and perioperative complications.
Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care throughout the surgical journey.
Participate in clinical governance activities, morbidity and mortality reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
