This role is designed for highly qualified Western-trained cardiac anesthetists who are passionate about delivering exceptional anesthesia care to patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
As a Consultant Cardiac Anesthetist, you will utilize your advanced clinical skills to provide safe and effective anesthesia management throughout the perioperative period. Key responsibilities:
Perform thorough preoperative assessments and risk evaluations of cardiac surgery patients.
Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans tailored to each patient.
Administer anesthesia during cardiac surgical procedures and closely monitor patient vital signs.
Manage intraoperative and postoperative anesthesia-related complications efficiently.
Work collaboratively with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and nursing teams to ensure optimal surgical conditions and patient safety.
Participate in continuous quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
Stay current with advances in cardiac anesthesia techniques and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
Qualifications and experience:
Medical degree and full registration/licensure to practice as a medical specialist.
Western qualification in Anesthesiology with certification and specialization in Cardiac Anesthesia.
Proven clinical experience as a Consultant Cardiac Anesthetist in a Western healthcare setting.
In-depth knowledge of cardiac physiology, anesthesia protocols, and perioperative care.
