Role overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Assess and manage patients with a broad range of neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, headache, movement disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.
Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations, including neuroimaging, EEG and nerve conduction studies where applicable.
Develop personalised treatment plans covering medication management, rehabilitation, prevention and long-term neurological care.
Manage acute neurological presentations and coordinate appropriate inpatient, emergency or specialist referral pathways.
Collaborate with neurosurgery, neuroradiology, rehabilitation, psychiatry, internal medicine and other multidisciplinary teams.
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis and long-term disease management.
Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, patient safety initiatives and evidence-based neurological care.
