Minimum 3-5 years post-specialisation experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery within a hospital or advanced clinical setting
Key responsibilities – Oral & maxillofacial surgery
Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the oral cavity, jawbones, facial structures, and surrounding soft tissues
Perform surgical procedures including impacted wisdom tooth extraction, dental implant placement, corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), and facial trauma reconstruction
Manage facial fractures and traumatic injuries involving the jaw, cheekbones, and surrounding structures
Treat oral pathology such as cysts, tumors, infections, and other abnormalities of the oral and maxillofacial region
Perform reconstructive procedures for congenital deformities, trauma-related defects, and functional jaw disorders
Evaluate and manage temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders and associated functional complications
Collaborate with orthodontists, prosthodontists, ENT specialists, plastic surgeons, and oncology teams for comprehensive patient care
Conduct pre-operative assessments, surgical planning, and post-operative follow-up care
Utilise advanced diagnostic imaging such as CT scans and 3D imaging to support surgical planning and treatment evaluation
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, surgical safety guidelines, and UAE healthcare regulations
