Our leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced specialist endodontist
To provide comprehensive endodontic care, including the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries affecting the dental pulp and periapical tissues. Endodontics is recognised as a dental specialty within the UAE professional qualification framework.
Key responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive dental and endodontic consultations and clinical examinations.
Diagnose pulpal and periapical diseases using clinical assessment and appropriate diagnostic investigations.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's condition and clinical needs.
Perform root canal treatments for anterior and posterior teeth.
Manage primary and complex endodontic cases, including cases with calcified or curved canals.
Perform endodontic retreatment where clinically indicated.
Manage dental trauma and associated pulpal and periapical conditions.
Perform emergency endodontic procedures for patients presenting with acute dental pain and infection.
Perform procedures such as pulpotomy, apexification, and other appropriate endodontic treatments within the scope of practice.
Evaluate and manage endodontic complications and refer complex surgical cases when required.
Use appropriate radiographic and diagnostic techniques, including dental X-rays and CBCT where indicated.
Provide appropriate post-treatment care and follow-up.
Explain diagnosis, treatment options, procedures, risks, expected outcomes, and aftercare instructions to patients.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and clinical documentation.
Work collaboratively with general dentists, prosthodontists, periodontists, orthodontists, oral surgeons, and other dental professionals.
Maintain high standards of infection control, patient safety, and clinical quality.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary dental team.
Requirements
