Role overview Position: Diagnostic Sonographer Location: UAE Healthcare setting: Hospital / Medical Center Experience required: Minimum 2+ years of relevant sonography experience Practice model: Multidisciplinary diagnostic imaging team Qualifications & licensing requirements Bachelor's degree or diploma in diagnostic medical sonography, radiography, medical imaging, or a related field. Valid MOH or SHA license/eligibility is required. DHA license/eligibility holders with transfer eligibility may also be considered, subject to facility requirements. Key responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established clinical protocols and physician requests. Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and ensure accurate documentation of findings. Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain examination processes professionally. Operate, maintain, and ensure the proper functioning of ultrasound equipment. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in accordance with facility policies. Adhere to infection control standards, patient safety protocols, and quality assurance procedures. Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and organizational policies. Participate in continuous professional development and maintain competency in ultrasound imaging practices. Required skills Proficiency in performing a range of ultrasound examinations.
