This role supports the design, technical development, production, and installation of interior systems and furnishings for luxury yachts. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of interior outfitting, furniture construction, 3D modelling, and technical documentation, together with a strong willingness to learn and develop within a hands-on yacht production environment. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, the Junior Interior Engineer will be involved in the process from design development through workshop production and on-board installation. Key responsibilities Assist in developing 3D models and 2D technical drawings for interior furniture and accessories. Prepare and update technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation under the supervision of senior engineers. Support the preparation of technical documentation for workshop furniture production. Assist with monitoring workshop production and ensure that work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications. Support the assembly and installation of interior furniture on board luxury yachts. Assist senior engineers in resolving technical and production-related issues. Participate in design reviews and coordination with engineering, production, purchasing, and design teams. Identify opportunities for improvements in interior design solutions, materials, and production methods. Manage assigned tasks and provide regular updates on progress and completion. Assist with purchasing activities and stock management related to interior outfitting components and materials. Continuously develop technical knowledge and understanding of yacht interior construction and outfitting. Requirements Basic professional or educational experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software. Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills. Basic understanding of technical drawings and engineering documentation. Good spoken and written English. Highly organised and detail-oriented. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and maintain a high standard of work. Basic understanding of furniture construction, materials, or manufacturing processes is an advantage. Nice to have Previous experience in the furniture or woodworking industry. Previous experience in marine or yacht interior outfitting. Knowledge of SolidWorks and technical drawing standards. Basic understanding of materials and manufacturing processes used in interior furniture production.
