In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring all cost-related activities, ensuring accurate financial administration, and maintaining robust internal controls. You will work collaboratively with multiple departments to drive operational efficiency, support informed decision-making, and contribute to the organization's financial success through meticulous cost analysis and transparent reporting. Responsibilities: Organize and monitor all cost control activities, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of financial transactions Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices and monthly statements, matching documentation against purchase orders and market listings; prepare accounts payable vouchers with precision Control and register the flow of goods in and out from receiving areas, storerooms, and operational outlets, maintaining detailed records Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end inventory counts; prepare comprehensive physical inventory reports for food, beverages, operating supplies, and other assets Establish daily and monthly food and beverage costs per outlet and prepare detailed profit and loss statements, identifying trends and variances Analyze and cost all recipes before implementing new menu items; prepare provisional profit and loss statements for special events and promotions Generate daily and monthly sales statistics, identifying slow-moving items, high-cost items, and cost-saving opportunities for discussion with senior management Conduct monthly outlet activity analysis, establishing comprehensive profit and loss statements that include revenue, sales costs, payroll, operating expenses, and productivity metrics Prepare month-end closing reports for all cost categories; execute month-end adjustments in coordination with the Accounting Manager and Finance Director Implement and maintain effective internal control and audit systems to ensure efficient supervision of cost controls and financial accuracy Facilitate communication and collaboration between the cost control function and other departments to support operational goals Maintain professional standards and appearance at all times; attend training sessions as scheduled to enhance skills and knowledge Perform additional duties as requested by the Accounting Manager or Director of Finance to support organizational objectives Qualifications Required skills & competencies: Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and cost accounting methodologies Strong expertise in inventory management and control systems Excellent attention to detail with exceptional organizational abilities Proficient in accounts payable processing and invoice verification Skilled in preparing and analyzing profit and loss statements Competent in using accounting software and ERP systems Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments Excellent time management and prioritization skills Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities Proficiency in data analysis and financial reporting Required experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cost control, financial administration, or related accounting roles Proven experience in inventory management and cost analysis Experience working with financial systems and accounting software Demonstrated experience in preparing financial reports and month-end closings Experience in a hospitality, food and beverage, or similar operational environment is preferred Required education & certifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional accounting certification (such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is preferred Domain expertise: Strong knowledge of cost control principles and best practices Understanding of food and beverage operations and costing methodologies Familiarity with internal control frameworks and audit procedures Knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements About the Company A caring employer providing respect, training and career development for our employees.
