The successful candidate will play a key role in managing fixed assets, inventory, stocktaking activities, and stores operations, while driving process improvements and supporting audit and compliance requirements. Key responsibilities Lead and oversee assets and stores management activities in accordance with approved policies and procedures. Manage the registration, tracking, and maintenance of fixed and movable assets within ERP and asset management systems. Supervise the receipt, storage, and issuance of assets and materials, ensuring compliance with approved specifications and procedures. Plan and manage periodic and annual stocktaking activities, analyze inventory variances, and recommend corrective actions. Monitor inventory levels, define minimum and maximum stock thresholds, and coordinate replenishment activities. Ensure proper storage, handling, and safeguarding of assets and inventory to maintain quality and availability. Prepare management reports covering inventory status, stock variances, underutilized assets, damaged assets, and compliance indicators. Recommend disposal of obsolete, damaged, or surplus assets in accordance with approved regulations. Support internal and external audit activities by providing accurate records, reports, and documentation. Review and enhance asset and stores management processes to improve operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls. Coordinate with finance, procurement, administration, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless asset management operations. Monitor KPIs and provide regular reports on performance, risks, challenges, and improvement initiatives. Provide technical guidance and advisory support on assets and inventory management best practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, supply chain management, logistics, or a related discipline. Minimum 8–10 years of experience in assets management, inventory control, stores management, logistics, or a related field. Experience within a government entity or large public-sector organization is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with ERP systems and asset/inventory management platforms. Strong background in stocktaking, asset control, variance analysis, reporting, and process improvement. Professional certification in asset management, inventory management, supply chain, procurement, or stores management is an advantage. Key competencies Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management and inventory control. Sound understanding of governance, compliance, and internal control principles. Excellent analytical and reporting skills. Strong planning, organization, and stakeholder management abilities. Effective communication skills in both Arabic and English.
