KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The ADNOC PMC project role would be based initially in client or contractors office in Abu Dhabi.
Job purpose
To provide planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and performance monitoring support for ADNOC offshore projects. The role is responsible for developing integrated project schedules, monitoring project progress and costs, identifying deviations, and supporting management with timely reporting and corrective action recommendations to ensure successful project delivery within approved schedule and budget targets.
Key responsibilities
Planning & scheduling
Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
Establish work breakdown structure (WBS) and project coding structures.
Prepare baseline schedules for engineering, procurement, construction, installation, hook-up, and commissioning phases.
Perform critical path analysis and monitor schedule performance.
Develop recovery and mitigation plans for schedule slippages.
Prepare short-term and long-term look-ahead schedules.
Coordinate schedule inputs with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
Cost control
Develop and maintain cost breakdown structure (CBS) and project budgets.
Monitor commitments, expenditures, accruals, and cost forecasts.
Prepare estimate at completion (EAC) and estimate to complete (ETC).
Track project cost performance against approved budgets.
Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Review contractor invoices, change orders, and variation requests.
Support contingency management and project risk assessments.
Progress measurement & reporting
Establish progress measurement systems and methodologies.
Monitor physical progress across engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning activities.
Prepare weekly and monthly project control reports.
Generate S-curves, manpower histograms, dashboards, and KPI reports.
Conduct earned value management (EVM) analysis.
Present schedule and cost performance to project management and ADNOC stakeholders.
Risk & change management
Support project risk identification and schedule/cost impact assessments.
Evaluate schedule and cost implications of project changes.
Participate in claim evaluation, delay analysis, and extension of time assessments.
Support management of project contingencies and risk registers.
Compliance & coordination
Ensure compliance with ADNOC offshore project controls procedures and reporting standards.
Interface with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, contracts, and finance teams.
Participate in project review meetings, audits, and management presentations.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Primavera P6 certification preferred.
PMP, CCP (Certified Cost Professional), AACE or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
Minimum experience
15 years of experience in project controls, planning, scheduling, or cost engineering.
Minimum 5 years of offshore oil & gas EPC/EPCM project experience.
Previous ADNOC offshore, ADNOC onshore, or major Middle East operator experience preferred.
Experience in brownfield modifications, shutdown projects, offshore platforms, pipelines, and processing facilities is preferred.
Experience with projects valued above USD 100 million is desirable.
