Position overview: We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic high school IB Biology teacher to join our dedicated team from August 2026. Key responsibilities: Deliver engaging and interactive IB Biology lessons to high school students, following the school's curriculum and educational standards. Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies to inspire a love for IB Biology and foster critical thinking skills. Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment. Ensure continuity in the delivery of curriculum content. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and exploration. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress. Skills description Successful candidate will need: A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in Biology. Proven experience teaching IB Biology at high school level, preferably within an American/IB curriculum school. Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and hands-on IB Biology education. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues. A strong desire to continually improve their practice and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for their students.
