Position overview
We are welcoming expressions of interest from outstanding Secondary Science Teachers interested in joining GEMS International School – Dubai Hills from August 2027.
We welcome experienced IB educators as well as outstanding teachers from British and other international curricula who are passionate about inquiry-led learning and inspiring confident, curious learners.

Deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity, critical thinking and a love of learning.
Create an inclusive classroom environment where students feel challenged, supported and empowered.

Assess and monitor student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning.

Skills description
Successful candidate
Hold a recognised teaching qualification at degree level, such as a B.Ed, PGCE, State Teaching License or equivalent, with a specialism in Science.
Have a minimum of three years' successful experience teaching Secondary Science, ideally including IB MYP and/or DP. Where candidates do not have IB experience, A-Level experience is preferred.
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality, inquiry-based and concept-driven learning.
Be passionate about inspiring a love of Science and developing confident, critical and globally minded learners.
Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.
