Requirements

We're looking for a Duty Manager / FOH Supervisor to lead front-of-house operations, acting as the responsible person on shift and ensuring every guest receives a consistently high standard of service. The Duty Manager coaches and directs the FOH team in a fast-paced, high-volume rooftop venue and works closely with kitchen, bar, and hotel management to deliver seamless service.
Responsibilities
Lead FOH team during service — floor coverage, table management, guest flow
Act as responsible person on shift; ensure compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and host responsibility obligations
Greet guests, resolve complaints and service issues
Monitor service standards across dining, bar, and event spaces
Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams on food/beverage delivery
Manage opening/closing procedures, including till reconciliation and end-of-shift reporting
Support recruitment, induction, and training of FOH staff
Run pre-shift briefings (specials, events, priorities)
Assist with rostering and shift coordination
Report maintenance, health and safety, or operational issues to the Venue Manager
Budget / Accounts
Monitor daily revenue and labour costs against targets
Minimise wastage, contribute to cost-effective FOH operation
Ensure accurate processing of cash, EFTPOS, and tab transactions
Health & Safety
Maintain a strong health and safety culture and comply with all health and safety requirements and policy
Take no action (or inaction) that could cause harm; avoid unreasonable risks
Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazards
Follow safe methods and use safety equipment
Seek guidance when a safe method isn't known
