Overview Of The Role:The HSSE Officer is responsible for enforcing and improving Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental standards across assigned sites to ensure compliance with local and internal regulations. The role involves conducting regular inspections, participating in compliance audits, managing emergency preparedness, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for operational safety. Collaboration with safety committees, other departments, and external parties is essential for the successful reduction of hazards and enhancement of overall site safety.What You Will Do:Loss PreventionConduct regular inspections and monthly update meetings with Site Safety Committees to increase hazard identification and reporting by 65%.Achieve a 45% reduction in preventable incidents through the implementation of corrective and preventative measures.Visit and inspect all assigned sites daily, ensuring immediate hazard closure or control where possible.Participate actively in HSSE Compliance Audits to identify and record hazards/gaps.Conduct daily checks on security operations, ensuring compliance with deployment risks and target security competency scores of 75%.Emergency Preparedness & ResponseDevelop and supervise site-specific emergency response actions and evacuation exercises.Conduct monthly Fire Safety Inspections to ensure compliance with internal and governmental regulations.Ensure all assigned sites have trained and certified First Aiders and Fire Wardens as per Local Regulations.Conduct monthly Emergency Response team meetings to review preparedness and maintain equipment.Documentation & Inventory ManagementMaintain accurate and updated HSE records, including site documents, certifications, and equipment inventory.Ensure the availability and communication of emergency procedures and MSDS for hazardous chemicals.Support administrative record updates and compliance reporting for audit purposes.Verify that security team leaders have access to the latest HSSE policies and procedures.Regulatory ComplianceStay updated with local and federal HSE regulations to ensure full business compliance and avoid penalties.Monitor third-party safety compliance through spot inspections and enforce PTW (Permit to Work) policies.Support security systems compliance and collaborate with government authorities for system improvements.Assist in obtaining mandatory permits, licenses, and certifications for Trade License renewals.Learning & DevelopmentSeek training resources to improve HSE knowledge and leadership skills.Achieve certifications such as Incident Investigator, IOSH Managing Safety, Fire Warden, and First Aider.Pass all HSSE flash quizzes with at least a 70% score.Attend seminars and workshops to enhance personal and professional growth.GeneralFirst focal point for incident reporting and corrective action checks.Participate in internal audits and emergency mock drills.Conduct on-site HSSE training and toolbox talks.Travel frequently between assigned sites to support and ensure compliance.Generate required HSSE reports and maintain compliance records.Required Skills To Be Successful:Analytical and critical thinking.Attention to detail and good documentation skills.Team/people management and conflict resolution.Proficiency in safety management and compliance practices.What Qualifies You For The Role:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sustainability, or a related field.Minimum of 1 year experience in HSSE or related security roles is preferred.Fluency in English (read/write/speak) and Arabic (read/speak).Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with computer systems.
