Job description
As a Commis I at Delano Dubai, you will support the kitchen brigade in the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency, hygiene, and attention to detail. You will play an important role in maintaining smooth kitchen operations while developing your culinary skills within a luxury hospitality environment.
Food preparation support: Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to recipes and brand standards
Mise-en-place: Ensure your station is fully set, organised, and ready for efficient service execution
Service assistance: Support senior chefs during service by completing tasks accurately and promptly under guidance
Quality standards: Maintain consistency in food preparation, presentation, and portioning in line with Delano standards
Hygiene & safety: Follow strict HACCP, hygiene, and food safety procedures, ensuring a clean and compliant workstation
Stock handling: Assist with proper storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce waste
Team collaboration: Work closely with Demi Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Skill development: Actively learn and develop culinary techniques under the supervision of senior kitchen team members
Kitchen discipline: Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
Operational support: Assist with general kitchen duties to ensure efficiency and consistency across service periods
Qualifications
