Role overview
The successful candidate will provide consultant-level urology and urological surgical care within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment supported by experienced consultants, specialists, nurses, allied health professionals, and modern diagnostic and surgical infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of urological conditions across outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings.
Manage conditions affecting the urinary tract, kidneys, bladder, prostate, urethra, and male reproductive system.
Perform urological procedures and surgical interventions according to clinical privileges, expertise, and facility scope.
Provide expertise in general urology, endourology, andrology, and minimally invasive urological procedures where applicable.
Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, obtain informed consent, and provide perioperative and post-operative care.
Perform and interpret relevant urological investigations, imaging, and diagnostic procedures.
Manage urinary tract obstruction, kidney stones, prostate disorders, urinary infections, male reproductive conditions, and other urological presentations.
Assess and manage acute urological emergencies and post-operative complications.
Collaborate with radiology, oncology, nephrology, emergency medicine, and other specialties for integrated patient care.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and clinical governance standards.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
