This is a unique opportunity to lead the certification strategy for safety critical airborne software and electronic hardware, helping define the development assurance approach from programme inception through aircraft type certification. Working closely with Engineering, Safety, Systems and Certification teams, you will act as the technical authority for DO-178C and DO-254 compliance, ensuring certification activities meet GCAA, EASA and FAA regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the airborne software and hardware certification strategy across the aircraft programme. • Develop certification plans, compliance documentation and certification evidence. • Ensure compliance with DO-178C and DO-254 development assurance requirements. • Lead and support Stage of Involvement (SOI) audits with certification authorities. • Collaborate with systems, software, hardware and safety engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle. • Establish certification processes, standards and best practices. • Support aircraft type certification activities with GCAA, EASA and FAA. • Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of the certification function. • Drive continuous improvement across development assurance and compliance activities. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with DO-254 airborne electronic hardware certification. • Experience supporting GCAA, EASA or FAA certification programmes. • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or a related discipline. • Experience with fly by wire systems, electric propulsion or battery management systems. • Interest in developing technical leadership responsibilities. Salary: AED 35,000 to 43,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
