Requirements
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Metallurgical, or Materials). Minimum 6 years of experience in corrosion control and mitigation within the Oil & Gas industry. Strong knowledge of chemical inhibition, corrosion monitoring, material selection, degradation mechanisms, failure analysis, sour service, protective coatings, linings, and cathodic protection. Experience with corrosion systems in sour feed gas and marine environments. Good knowledge of national/local regulations, international codes/standards, and NDT/inspection techniques. Experience in both onshore and offshore facilities is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Computer literate. Good written and spoken English.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corrosion Engineer to provide technical expertise in corrosion engineering, ensuring effective corrosion monitoring, control and mitigation across oil and gas facilities. The role will support the integrity, safety, reliability and environmental performance of facilities while reviewing corrosion-related requirements for new projects and modifications. Contract duration: 24months to 36 months initial contract duration. Onshore Base. NFPS Compression project prefers candidates with Offshore experience. Minimum RequirementsReview material and design requirements for new projects and modifications, including corrosion monitoring and control programs.Develop and implement corrosion control and monitoring programs covering:Cathodic protectionProtective coatings and liningsChemical inhibitionCorrosion monitoring systemsConduct corrosion monitoring, prevention activities and corrosion investigations.Monitor Integrity Operating Windows affecting corrosion and equipment life and provide recommendations to Operations.Develop Statements of Work (SOWs) for corrosion-related studies, investigations and contracts.Review technical reports and test results related to corrosion control, chemical selection and failure analysis.Develop coating and painting requirements for pipelines, structures, equipment and tanks.Provide recommendations on coating systems, application procedures and quality control requirements.Inspect coating conditions and coordinate with inspectors to ensure appropriate quality control.Provide technical advice on corrosion engineering to internal teams, vendors, consultants and other external stakeholders.Develop and maintain corrosion and integrity-related procedures, standards, processes and best practices.Develop and implement corrosion engineering programs for offshore and onshore facilities, pipelines, process plants, storage facilities and export/loading facilities.Review corrosion engineering reports, test results and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.Perform risk assessments related to corrosion and equipment integrity.Provide technical expertise in corrosion control and mitigation methods, including chemical treatment, cathodic protection, material selection, protective coatings, linings and corrosive process conditions.Raise and manage technical change requests related to corrosion studies, cathodic protection, coatings and linings.Liaise with operations, maintenance, engineering, HSE, inspection, procurement and other relevant departments on corrosion-related matters.Support the evaluation of corrosion service providers, laboratories, consultants and specialist contractors. QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical, Metallurgical or Materials Engineering.Experience & Technical KnowledgeMinimum 6 years of experience in corrosion control and mitigation within the Oil & Gas industry.Strong knowledge and practical experience in:Chemical inhibitionCorrosion monitoringMaterial selectionCorrosion and material degradation mechanismsFailure analysisSour serviceProtective coatings and liningsCathodic protectionExperience with corrosion systems and plant facilities involving sour feed gas and exposure to marine environments, including utilities facilities.Good knowledge of national and local regulations, international codes and standards, statutory requirements, NDT and inspection techniques.Experience in corrosion management within both onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities is preferred.Skills & CompetenciesGood written and spoken English.Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to interpret technical data, reports and investigation findings.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.Computer literate.Ability to work independently and provide sound technical recommendations.Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.People are our business worldwide Orion Group was founded in 1987 and is now one of the largest, independent, international recruitment companies.
