The Research Systems Manager is responsible for developing and implementing research administration systems in support of research servicesJob ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement policies on research system transaction activitiesConceptualize, plan, draft, edit, and present clear, concise, relevant and accurate analytic products and presentations in a timely manner.Provide technical support to research administration systems function, including development of custom and automated reporting functions.Provide data management expertise, and work towards automation of standard processes.Train faculty and staff on research administration system related tasks.Program and develop custom reports, workflow forms, configure electronic routing and approval.Coordinate and support research systems integration and development as required.Adhere to the University's information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly.Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed.Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.Qualifications And Skills RequiredMinimum of 7 years of relevant experience.A bachelor's degree in business administration or related fieldsSkills & CompetenciesAbility to work closely with researchers, faculty, and IT teams to align systems with academic and scientific needs.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong organizational skills to oversee system deployments, upgrades, and integrations with minimal disruption.Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in research software, databases, and cloud services.Experience in training researchers on system usage and best practices.Efficiently liaising with software providers, IT teams, and academic departments to ensure seamless research support.Technical SkillsExpertise with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.Expertise with research management tools and ERP systems, including Pre-Award system, Oracle and Pure.Collaborate with researchers to deploy and customize software for domain-specific needs.Audit system permissions and conduct vulnerability assessments to mitigate risks.Audit system permissions and conduct vulnerability assessments to mitigate risks.How To ApplyInterested applicants should fill out the form.AUS alumni are encouraged to apply.
