Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 7 to 12 years of experience in electrical engineering, in-depth knowledge of electrical installation practices, materials, and testing procedures, familiarity with local codes and international standards, proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications, excellent communication and team coordination skills, and ability to manage site activities efficiently under pressure while ensuring quality and safety. Healthcare project experience is an advantage. Membership or certification with a recognized engineering body is preferred. Experience working under FIDIC contracts and in coordination with supervision consultants is a plus.

About the Role: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Electrical Engineer to join our team at a leading engineering consultancy firm. This role is focused on overseeing the implementation and execution of electrical works on-site for complex building projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in electrical engineering, excellent coordination skills, and hands-on experience in electrical installations in accordance with industry standards and regulations.As a Site Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in line with approved designs. You will work closely with project managers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain quality, compliance, and timely delivery of the electrical scope on-site.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and monitor the installation of electrical systems on-site, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, ELV, and other specialized systems.Ensure electrical works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, HTM).Conduct site inspections and verify work progress and quality in accordance with project requirements.Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth site operations.Review and comment on shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals for compliance with design intent and project specifications.Monitor site testing and commissioning activities, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and QA/QC procedures.Prepare daily/weekly site reports highlighting progress, issues, and potential delays, and report to the construction/project manager.Attend project meetings, site walk-throughs, and inspections with stakeholders and authorities as required.Support the handover process by ensuring punch lists and final testing/commissioning activities are completed to standard.Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local authority regulations, and environmental and safety standards.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.7 to 12 years of experience in electrical engineering.Healthcare project experience is an advantage.In-depth knowledge of electrical installation practices, materials, and testing procedure.Familiarity with local codes and international standards.Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and installation details.Excellent communication and team coordination skills.Ability to manage site activities efficiently under pressure while ensuring quality and safety.Membership or certification with a recognized engineering body is preferred.Experience working under FIDIC contracts and in coordination with supervision consultants is a plus.Healthcare experience is preferrable.
