The Health Management Program at Batterjee Medical College (BMC) – Jeddah is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Faculty Member in Health Management to join its academic team.The successful candidate will contribute to excellence in teaching, research, student mentorship, and academic service, while playing an important role in preparing future healthcare leaders and professionals.We are particularly interested in candidates with academic and/or professional expertise in one or more of the following areas:Healthcare Quality & Patient SafetyHealth Insurance & Medical BillingHealthcare Financial ManagementHealthcare CodingHealthcare EntrepreneurshipHealth Information Management / Health InformaticsKey ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic SupportDevelop and deliver high-quality undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Health Management and related disciplines.Apply innovative, student-centered teaching methodologies and incorporate digital and online learning technologies where appropriate.Develop course materials, assessments, examinations, and learning activities aligned with approved course and program learning outcomes.Participate in curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement.Contribute to learning outcome assessment and academic quality activities.Provide academic advising and support to students.Maintain accurate academic records and complete required course and program documentation.Research & Scholarly ActivitiesConduct individual and collaborative research in Health Management, Healthcare Administration, Health Policy, Health Information Management, or related disciplines.Publish scholarly work in reputable peer-reviewed national and international journals.Participate in conferences, seminars, research projects, and other scholarly activities.Contribute to strengthening the research profile and academic reputation of the Health Management Program and the College.Supervise and support student research projects and capstone initiatives.Student Mentorship & DevelopmentProvide academic mentorship and career guidance to students.Support students in developing leadership, analytical, communication, and professional competencies relevant to the healthcare sector.Guide students in research, capstone projects, and other academic initiatives.Encourage student engagement in academic, professional, and research activities.Academic Service & EngagementActively participate in program, departmental, and College committees, meetings, and academic activities.Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives.Support academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the Head of Program.Represent the College in professional organizations, conferences, community outreach activities, and relevant external engagements.Perform other academic duties and assignments as directed by the Head of Program or College leadership.RequirementsMaster's, and PhD degrees in Healthcare Administration, Health Management, Health Policy, or a closely related field from accredited institutions.Relevant professional certifications or specialized training in Health Management or related areas are an advantage.ExperienceMinimum 3 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level within a higher education institution.Demonstrated experience in academic teaching, assessment, and student supervision.Proven ability to effectively manage academic and administrative responsibilities.Experience in online learning, digital education, and assessment design is highly desirable.Relevant professional or industry experience within the healthcare sector is an advantage.Research RequirementsDemonstrated research capability with publications in peer-reviewed journals.At least one international peer-reviewed publication in Healthcare Management or a closely related field is required.Candidates should be able to demonstrate active or recent scholarly engagement.Skills & CompetenciesStrong academic and professional knowledge of Health Management and Healthcare Administration.Expertise in one or more of the identified priority areas: Quality & Patient Safety, Health Insurance & Billing, Healthcare Financial Management, Healthcare Coding, Healthcare Entrepreneurship, or Health Information Management/Informatics.Excellent teaching and student engagement capabilities.Ability to design and deliver engaging courses using modern pedagogical approaches and educational technologies.Strong research, analytical, and academic writing skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficiency in digital learning tools, academic systems, dashboards, and computing applications.Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational, presentation, and time-management abilities.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary academic environment.
