About Smart Vision School

As the school continues to grow and develop, we are looking to appoint an ambitious and highly experienced Assistant Headteacher: Head of Arabic and Islamic to join our Senior Leadership Team.
This is a key leadership position within the school and provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to play a significant role in shaping the quality, provision and future development of Arabic and Islamic Education at Smart Vision School.
With the school currently open to Year 9 and expanding year-on-year, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape provision from the early years through to GCSE and beyond, ensuring that Arabic and Islamic Education are delivered to the highest possible standards and meet both UAE requirements and the wider vision of the school.
The Role
The successful candidate will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with the Principal and wider leadership team to support the strategic development and day-to-day leadership of the school.
As Head of Arabic and Islamic, they will have overall responsibility for the quality of teaching, learning, curriculum development, assessment and outcomes within Arabic and Islamic Education.
The role will require an individual who combines strong leadership skills with excellent classroom practice and who understands the importance of Arabic and Islamic Education within the context of a UAE school.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute beyond their own areas of responsibility and play an active role in the wider strategic development of Smart Vision School.
Key Responsibilities
Be an active and contributing member of the Senior Leadership Team, supporting the Principal in the strategic leadership and development of the school.
Lead and manage the Arabic and Islamic departments, ensuring consistently high standards of teaching, learning and student outcomes.
Develop and continually review the Arabic and Islamic curriculum to ensure it is ambitious, engaging, progressive and compliant with UAE and KHDA requirements.
Monitor the quality of teaching and learning through lesson observations, learning walks, work scrutiny and analysis of student outcomes.
Lead the effective use of assessment and data to identify areas for improvement and accelerate student progress.
Support and develop teachers through coaching, professional development and high-quality departmental leadership.
Ensure that statutory requirements relating to Arabic and Islamic Education are fully understood and implemented.
Work closely with the Principal and other members of the Senior Leadership Team on school improvement priorities.
Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the School Development Plan.
Support the school in preparing for KHDA and other external inspections, ensuring that evidence demonstrates the quality and impact of Arabic and Islamic provision.
Develop strong relationships with students, parents and the wider school community.
Promote the UAE's culture, heritage and values throughout the school.
Contribute to whole-school policies, procedures and strategic decision-making as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Take an active role in the wider life of the school and support the continued development of its culture and ethos.
The Ideal Candidate
