This role serves as a key business partner to Finance, Legal, Treasury, Business Development, and Project teams, providing practical tax guidance on business transactions, contract reviews, and strategic initiatives throughout the region. The position requires strong technical tax expertise, sound business judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic international environment. The Manager, Middle East Tax will work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations while supporting the company's operational and growth objectives across the Middle East. Trinzic is being established as an independent public company through the planned separation of KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business, which is expected to be completed on January 4, 2027. This role offers a rare opportunity to join the organization during a pivotal period of growth and transformation, helping build and support tax strategies, governance processes, and compliance frameworks that will position the company for long-term success while serving critical government and commercial missions around the world. Key responsibilities Manage tax matters across the Middle East region, including direct tax, indirect tax, tax accounting, compliance, and advisory activities. Provide tax advice on proposals, contract reviews, business transactions, and strategic initiatives, including technical research, planning, and risk assessments. Review quarterly tax provisions and related tax accounting activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including uncertain tax position documentation and supporting analyses. Coordinate with Finance and Accounting teams to maintain tax-related internal controls and support financial reporting requirements. Oversee the preparation and review of local country tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable filing and reporting obligations. Manage tax audits, inquiries, and disputes in partnership with external advisors and local authorities. Support tax aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, liquidations, restructurings, and other special projects. Lead regional initiatives related to BEPS Pillar Two, e-invoicing requirements, and emerging tax regulatory developments. Manage Middle East VAT matters, including compliance, planning, system enhancements, and process improvements. Partner with Finance, Legal, Treasury, Business Development, and global Tax team members to address complex cross-border tax matters. Prepare technical memoranda, position papers, and correspondence for senior stakeholders, external advisors, and tax authorities. Support the development and enhancement of tax systems, policies, processes, and governance frameworks, including oversight of external advisor engagements and related administration. Basic qualifications Education & experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field. 9+ years of progressive tax experience within a multinational corporation, public accounting firm, or a combination of both. Experience supporting international tax matters and cross-border transactions. Experience with corporate tax accounting and tax provision reporting. Experience managing tax compliance, advisory, and audit activities across multiple jurisdictions. Technical & leadership skills Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, indirect tax, and international tax principles. Experience with U.S. GAAP tax accounting and financial reporting requirements. Familiarity with BEPS Pillar Two regulations, e-invoicing requirements, and evolving international tax developments. Working knowledge of ERP systems and tax-related reporting processes, including VAT coding and transaction flows. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and advise business partners across functions. Preferred qualifications CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent professional accounting or tax certification. Experience supporting tax matters within the Middle East region.
