Job SummaryThe Site Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating mechanical construction activities on site, ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and monitor all mechanical construction activities on site, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, and other mechanical systems.Review approved shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and specifications before and during installation.Coordinate mechanical works with civil, architectural, electrical, and other disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure smooth progress.Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure works are completed according to approved drawings and project specifications.Conduct regular site inspections and identify any technical or quality issues.Review and respond to RFIs, technical submittals, inspection requests, and material submissions.Ensure that mechanical installations comply with relevant international standards, project specifications, and authority requirements.Coordinate and witness testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.Monitor project progress and report delays, technical issues, and site constraints to the Project Manager/Resident Engineer.Verify quantities and assist with reviewing contractors' progress claims where required.Ensure that all inspection and testing activities are properly documented.Coordinate with the QA/QC team regarding inspections, NCRs, and corrective actions.Review as-built drawings and ensure that site changes are properly recorded.Attend site meetings and technical coordination meetings with the contractor, consultant, and client.Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and company procedures.Support the project team during testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities.
