Job SummaryThe Fire Alarm Design Engineer is responsible for designing, reviewing, and coordinating fire alarm and fire detection systems for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign fire alarm and fire detection systems in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.Prepare fire alarm layouts, wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, and system architecture drawings.Review battery calculations, voltage drop calculations, and sequence of operation (SOO).Prepare technical specifications and material submittals.Review shop drawings, contractor submittals, and technical documents.Coordinate with architectural, electrical, mechanical, and fire protection disciplines.Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, International Building Code (IBC), and other applicable fire and life safety codes.Provide technical support during design development and construction.
