Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced specialist neonatologist
We seek a specialist neonatologist to provide specialized medical care to newborns, including premature, critically ill, and high-risk infants. The ideal candidate should have strong NICU experience and expertise in neonatal stabilization, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
Key responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical care to premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns.
Assess and manage neonates with respiratory distress, sepsis, jaundice, birth asphyxia, congenital abnormalities, and metabolic disorders.
Provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilization in delivery rooms and emergency situations.
Manage infants requiring mechanical ventilation, CPAP, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory support.
Monitor and manage critically ill neonates in the NICU.
Interpret laboratory investigations, blood gases, imaging, and other neonatal diagnostic tests.
Manage feeding, nutrition, fluid and electrolyte balance, and growth of premature and critically ill infants.
Provide care for low-birth-weight and extremely premature babies.
Identify and manage neonatal complications and coordinate specialist referrals when required.
Work closely with obstetricians, pediatric surgeons, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
Counsel parents regarding the baby's condition, treatment plan, prognosis, and follow-up requirements.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare standards.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, teaching, and continuing medical education.
Qualifications and requirements

Relevant neonatology subspecialty training/fellowship where applicable.
Minimum 3 years of relevant post-specialization clinical experience preferred.

Current NRP certification is highly desirable.
