Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in estimation, tendering or quantity surveying within the construction industry.

  • Strong hands-on experience in:

    • Quantity take-off

    • BOQ preparation

    • Cost estimation

    • Rate analysis and rate build-ups

    • Tender preparation and submission

    • Supplier and subcontractor quotations

    • Commercial comparison and evaluation

  • Practical understanding of both pre-contract and post-contract QS activities.

  • Good knowledge of construction materials, labour, equipment and subcontracting costs.

  • Familiarity with FIDIC and common methods of measurement such as POMI, NRM or CESMM is preferred.

  • Good written and spoken English.

  • Candidates should be currently based in the UAE.

Software Skills

Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD, with practical experience in one or more estimating and quantity take-off tools such as:

  • PlanSwift

  • CostX

  • Bluebeam

  • Candy / CCS

  • Cubit or similar estimating software

Preferred Profile

Preference will be given to candidates who:

  • Have direct UAE contracting experience.

  • Have personally prepared and submitted complete tenders.

  • Can independently perform quantity take-offs and develop detailed rate build-ups.

  • Have experience with building, residential, commercial, infrastructure or fit-out projects.

  • Have current knowledge of UAE supplier, subcontractor and construction market rates.

  • Can join immediately or within a short notice period.
