Working closely with the commercial team, you will lead strategic sales initiatives, develop key accounts, and support a high-performing sales team. Sales strategy and business development Assist in the development and execution of the hotel's sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability goals. Identify new business opportunities across corporate, government, MICE, leisure, wholesale, and travel trade segments. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, travel agencies, event planners, and business partners. Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to identify trends, opportunities, and business risks. Participate in creating annual sales plans, budgets, forecasts, and action plans. Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and sales missions. Revenue generation Drive room revenue, banquet sales, catering revenue, and other hotel-related business opportunities. Support the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Monitor account production and market performance to maximize revenue opportunities. Work closely with revenue management and marketing teams to optimize business mix and pricing strategies. Ensure effective management of sales leads, inquiries, proposals, and contracts. Leadership and team management Assist in managing, mentoring, and developing the sales team. Provide guidance, performance coaching, and support to sales managers and executives. Conduct regular sales meetings and contribute to departmental training initiatives. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards. Act on behalf of the director of sales during their absence. Account management Maintain a portfolio of key accounts and strategic clients. Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and relationship-building activities. Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements within approved guidelines. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Reporting and administration Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, market intelligence, and business performance updates. Maintain accurate records within CRM and sales systems. Track sales activities, pipeline performance, and conversion ratios. Support budget preparation and expense management within the department. Cross-functional collaboration Work closely with operations, revenue management, marketing, reservations, and events teams to ensure successful execution of business opportunities. Coordinate site inspections, familiarization trips, and client events. Ensure smooth handover of confirmed business to operational departments.
