Description
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide L2/L3 support for Linux systems and resolve complex incidents. Troubleshoot Linux OS issues, including boot failures, kernel issues, services, package management, upgrades, and migrations. Perform OS patching, vulnerability management, and system hardening. Optimize Linux system performance for CPU, memory, storage, and NVIDIA GPU workloads. Develop and maintain automation using Ansible, Puppet, Bash, and Python. Manage infrastructure lifecycle using GitLab CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Support VDI technologies including SLURM, AWS DCV, Docker, and Kasm Workspaces. Configure and maintain scientific runtime environments using Lmod/Environment Modules. Administer Linux agents such as Automox, Nessus, and Puppet. Support NFS/SMB storage and troubleshoot containerized workloads. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive automation improvements.
