Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.  1-3 years of proven experience ( in investigative roles, preferably within the financial services or banking  sector or related industries). Strong investigative skills with the ability to gather information, conduct interviews, and analyze data to assess risk and credibility. Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to investigations, privacy laws, and confidentiality standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with applicants, colleagues, and external parties during the investigation process. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively to meet investigation deadlines. Proficiency in documentation and report writing to present investigative findings accurately and comprehensively.

 The Investigation Officer’s main objective is to be responsible for conducting on-site investigations and inquiries to gather information about individuals or businesses applying for mortgage and financing services. Your role involves verifying applicant information, assessing risk factors, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.Job Responsibilities Conduct on-site visits to clients' residences or business locations to verify information provided in mortgage and financing applications. Interview applicants, references, and other relevant parties to gather additional details and insights to assess creditworthiness and risk factors. Verify financial documents, employment records, and other supporting information to ensure accuracy and authenticity. Document investigation findings, prepare detailed reports, and provide recommendations to support informed lending decisions. Collaborate with internal teams, including credit analysts, to share investigative findings and contribute to the decision-making process. Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices related to conducting investigations in the mortgage and financing sector.
