Requirements
High school education or equivalent is preferred. A basic to good command of English is required, with additional languages being an advantage. Previous experience in hotel laundry operations is preferred but not essential. Basic knowledge of laundry equipment, linen handling, washing, drying, pressing, and garment care is advantageous. Competencies include attention to detail, cleanliness, teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently.

Job QualificationsEducation: High school education or equivalent preferred.Language: Basic to good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.Experience: Previous experience in hotel laundry operations is preferred but not essential.Skills: Basic knowledge of laundry equipment, linen handling, washing, drying, pressing, and garment care is an advantage.Competencies: Attention to detail, cleanliness, teamwork, reliability, and ability to work efficiently.Key Areas of Responsibility Laundry OperationsCarry out daily washing, drying, ironing, pressing, folding, and sorting of hotel linen, uniforms, and guest laundry according to established standards.Ensure all linen, uniforms, and guest garments are clean, fresh, stain-free, and handled with proper care.Sort laundry according to fabric type, color, washing requirements, and established procedures.Ensure all incoming and outgoing linen, uniforms, and guest laundry are properly recorded and distributed.Inspect items for stains, damage, or poor condition and report any concerns to the Laundry Supervisor.Maintain laundry areas, storage areas, equipment, and workstations in a clean and organized condition.Report any malfunctioning laundry equipment or maintenance requirements immediately.Assist with linen and uniform inventories and maintain appropriate stock levels.Handle lost and found items according to hotel procedures.Support other Housekeeping and Laundry operations when required. Quality & Cost ControlUse laundry chemicals, water, energy, and supplies responsibly to minimize waste.Handle linen, uniforms, guest garments, machines, and equipment carefully to prevent loss or damage.Follow established procedures for linen and uniform control. Policies, Hygiene & SafetyMaintain high standards of personal grooming, hygiene, and professional conduct.Follow all departmental SOPs, hotel policies, and laundry procedures.Follow correct chemical handling, health and safety, fire, and emergency procedures.Immediately report hazards, accidents, damages, or unsafe conditions.Attend required briefings, meetings, and training sessions.Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Laundry Supervisor or Laundry Manager.
