Requirements
Minimum 2-3 years of practical experience as a Plumber, General Technician, Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably in a hotel, resort, hospital or large commercial facility. Related technical or trades certification or Mechanical diploma or equivalent certification. Strong guest-service attitude, professional appearance, proactive problem-solving approach, good interpersonal skills and willingness to learn. The ability to use all general repair tools, read shop drawings and specifications, make rough estimates of required materials. English speaking is mandatory; ability to read and write basic technical/maintenance English is required.

Authentically personal and captivating iconic moments.Job DescriptionEnsures all work follows safe work practices, hotel procedures and applicable statutory requirements.Responds immediately to work requests involving Health & Safety, water leaks, flooding, blocked drainage and other urgent engineering issues.Responds to guest and colleague maintenance requests promptly, professionally and courteously, while minimizing disruption to hotel operations.Carries out plumbing installation, inspection, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance throughout guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, laundry, back-of-house and plant rooms.Maintains and repairs hot- and cold-water supply systems, pipework, valves, pumps, storage tanks, circulation systems, water heaters and associated equipment.Repairs and maintains toilets, showers, baths, sinks, taps, mixers, flush valves, sanitary fittings and other plumbing fixtures.Identifies and rectifies water leaks, blocked drains, damaged pipework, defective valves, fittings and sanitary fixtures; investigates root causes where practical.Maintains drainage, waste, sewage and storm-water systems, including floor drains, traps and associated equipment.Supports maintenance of plumbing connections to kitchen, laundry, ice-making, dishwasher and other water-using equipment. Carries out plumbing inspections and testing after repairs or installation and confirms systems are returned to safe and serviceable condition. Supports water hygiene requirements and hotel procedures for hot-water temperature monitoring, flushing and prevention of water-system risks, including Legionella controls where applicable.Operates, maintains and repairs water works and steam-generation related equipment within the technician's training and authorization.Operates, maintains and repairs LP gas systems/equipment only within approved competency, permit and safety requirements.Performs basic general maintenance works when required, including minor electrical works, basic HVAC/mechanical assistance, carpentry, painting, tiling, sealing, grouting, furniture/fixture repairs and other building maintenance tasks within competence.Assists other engineering trades during planned maintenance, breakdowns, projects, room renovation/refurbishment and major repair activities.QualificationsMinimum 2–3 years of practical experience as a Plumber, General Technician, Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably in a hotel, resort, hospital or large commercial facility.
