Description
Account Manager We build brands for people who have money but no timeA client comes to us with an idea, or with nothing. We find the product, validate it, source it, brand it, build the store, launch the ads, and hand back a brand doing $10,000 a month. End to end. They own it.The roleYou own the client relationship. Every call, every difficult conversation, every commercial decision.Right now the founder runs every client call himself, on top of everything else. That doesn't scale and it isn't fair to clients who deserve a dedicated person. That person is you.You will hold a portfolio of 12 to 15 brand builds. Two project managers run the internal delivery, so you are never chasing designers or sourcing agents. You walk into every call already briefed. Your job is what the client feels: confidence, clarity, and the sense that someone competent has this handled. What you'll ownEvery client call. Onboarding, product decisions, store walkthroughs, launch strategy, weekly check-ins.The commercial conversation. Budget, unit economics, ad spend, pricing, timelines, what we charge for.Expectations. Setting them properly at the start and managing them when things move.Bad news. Delivered before the client discovers it themselves, with a plan attached.Escalations and difficult conversations.Growth. Product two, renewals, referrals. What you won't ownChasing the internal team. That's the project managers.Task management, ClickUp admin, running the pods.Making the creative, building the store, sourcing the product. We have specialists. What a week actually looks likeMonday you read the project managers status on all 14 accounts and decide who needs a call this week. Tuesday you're on three calls: one client picking between two products, one wanting to know why their cost per acquisition is higher than they expected, one who has gone quiet and needs re-engaging. Wednesday a supplier slips two weeks and you're telling the client before they ask, with the revised date and what we're doing about it. Thursday you're talking a nervous first-time founder through why month one loses money by design. Friday you write up where every account stands. You'll be right for this ifYou've managed client relationships where real money was at stake. Agency, consultancy, account management, client success. 3+ years. You can hold a commercial conversation. Margin, CAC, payback, cash flow. You don't need to be an analyst, but you can't freeze when a client asks why their numbers look like that. You're comfortable delivering bad news. This is the single biggest predictor of who succeeds here. You write clearly and fast. Most of this job is written, in Slack, in front of clients. You have excellent spoken and written English and can hold your own with founders and investors. You can work across UK, US and Gulf time zones. Some early mornings, some evenings.Helpful, not requiredE-commerce, DTC, Shopify or Amazon backgroundYou've launched or run a product business yourselfPaid media literacy — enough to read a Meta report and know what it meansExperience in a business that was still building its processesWhat we offer12,000 - 16,000 AED/monthly plus Performance BonusRemote but Dubai based preferredDirect access to the founder. Small team, no layers.Real ownership of a portfolio from week one.To applySend your CV plus a short answer to this:A client is 10 weeks into a 14-week build. Their supplier has just slipped production by three weeks, which pushes their launch past the date you gave them. They haven't heard from you in five days. Write the message you'd send them.Keep it under 200 words. We read these before the CV.
