Requirements

Must Have Steel Industry ExperienceInternal: Working in Workshop - Finishing Section Work as a team member in Workshop - Finishing and follow supervisor's instructions Support Sr. Technician - Finishing External: As required General SummaryTo perform maintenance and overhauling activities of the Finishing Section throughout the plant with high proficiency, quality, and maximum safety standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesImplement Production Optimization Execute scheduled corrective maintenance and major repairs of equipment to optimize production and minimize plant downtime related to maintenance activities. Facilitate Corrective Action Perform troubleshooting during shutdowns of mechanical equipment and assist in identifying root causes for corrective actions. Attend mechanical maintenance issues during plant shutdowns and communicate equipment abnormalities to supervisors for planning and rectification. Ensure availability of required tools and tackles. Meet Engineering and Safety Principles Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations during maintenance activities in the Finishing Section. Assistance and Support Assist Sr. Technician - Finishing in all technical activities to ensure smooth maintenance operations during shutdowns. Act as Sr. Technician in the absence of the Sr. Technician or whenever required by the section. Following Standards Follow mechanical maintenance standards for all equipment in Workshop - Finishing.
