Role overview
Position: Consultant / Specialist Neurologist
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Healthcare setting: Multispecialty tertiary-care hospital with neuroscience services
Experience required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification
Practice model: Outpatient neurology clinics, inpatient consultations, and neurodiagnostic services
The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of neurological disorders, ensuring high quality care and optimal patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities – neurology
Diagnose and manage neurological disorders, including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and neuropathies
Provide acute management of neurological emergencies, including stroke and seizure disorders
Conduct detailed neurological examinations and clinical assessments
Interpret and utilise neurodiagnostic tests, including EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, and neuroimaging
Develop individualised treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions
Manage headaches, movement disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and neuromuscular conditions
Collaborate with neurosurgeons, intensivists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation teams for comprehensive patient care
Participate in stroke programs and multidisciplinary case discussions
Provide patient education and counselling regarding neurological conditions and long-term care
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations
Participate in clinical audits, research activities, and quality improvement initiatives
Ensure adherence to international neurology guidelines and patient safety standards
