Join us.Job DescriptionWe're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector - Structural to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive structural inspections on building sites, ensuring all construction work meets established specifications, building codes, and safety standards. You will play a critical role in maintaining quality assurance and identifying any structural deficiencies before they become significant issues. This position requires a methodical approach, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.Conduct detailed structural inspections of building sites, including foundations, framing, concrete work, and other structural elementsAnalyze construction materials, workmanship, and installation methods for compliance with approved plans and specificationsDocument inspection findings through photographs, measurements, and detailed notesPrepare comprehensive inspection reports identifying defects, non-conformances, and areas requiring corrective actionVerify adherence to UAE building codes, international standards, and project-specific requirementsIdentify safety hazards and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety protocolsCoordinate with construction teams, contractors, and project managers to communicate inspection results and required remedial actionsMaintain organized records of all inspections, reports, and correspondencePerform follow-up inspections to verify that identified issues have been properly addressedCollaborate with structural engineers and other professionals to resolve complex technical issuesQualificationsBachelor's degree or diploma in civil/structural8+ years of experience requiredProven experience conducting structural inspections on building sites or in construction quality assurance rolesStrong knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and structural engineering principlesProficiency in analyzing structural systems, materials, and construction methodologiesExcellent technical report writing and documentation skillsFamiliarity with inspection tools, equipment, and digital documentation systemsExperience with high-rise or complex building projects (preferred)Strong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAdditional InformationAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.To support this commitment, all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.About AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
