Description
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Develop expertise in process control instruments and control valves.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects for test technology.
  • Work with Simulation, Design, Materials and Product Engineering groups as part of a multi-functional team to determine testing requirements.
  • Develop and complete test plans in cooperation with internal design teams and external customers.
  • Assemble test units, install measurement instrumentation, and set up data acquisition systems. 
  • Evaluate experimental data and prepare engineering reports that include analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Update company-wide standards and web pages. 
  • Use LabVIEW, FlexLogger, DIAdem, DeltaV, VBA, and/or Python automated systems that could consist of process or report automation, physical test setups, or data analysis.
  • Collaborate in an agile team environment to efficiently conduct testing.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Enrollment in an engineering Bachelor's degree program
  • Completion of the following courses is required for this position:  Statics, Fluids, and Mechanics of Materials
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at location (Marshalltown, IA)
 
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering 
  • Junior or Senior class standing
  • 2.75 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Hands-on mechanical proficiency and experience
  • Fluid dynamics or acoustics interest or experience preferred
