Role overview
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services across all age groups within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment supported by specialist physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and modern diagnostic facilities. The consultant will play a key role in preventive medicine, health promotion, early diagnosis, chronic disease management, and coordination of specialist care while maintaining continuity of care for patients and families.
Key responsibilities
Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions across all age groups.
Deliver preventive healthcare services, including health screening, immunisations, lifestyle counselling, and wellness programmes.
Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, cardiovascular disease, and other long-term conditions using evidence-based guidelines.
Diagnose and treat common medical conditions while coordinating timely referrals to specialists when required.
Perform outpatient procedures appropriate to family medicine practice and manage minor emergencies presenting to the clinic.
Promote continuity of care through patient education, follow-up, and comprehensive care planning.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimise patient outcomes and integrated care pathways.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, comply with medico-legal requirements, and uphold patient safety and quality standards.
Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, continuing medical education, and accreditation activities.
