Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic High School IB Core/Theory of Knowledge Teacher to join our dedicated team from August 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an IB TOK educator who is dedicated to nurturing curiosity, inspiring achievement, and contributing to the success of every student at DAA.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and interactive IB TOK lessons to students, following the school's curriculum and educational standards
Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies to inspire a love for IB TOK and foster critical thinking skills
Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment
Ensure continuity in the delivery of curriculum content
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and exploration
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress
Successful Candidates Will Need
A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree in a relevant subject area, plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE, teaching license, or Level 5 equivalent specialism in, for example, Philosophy, Social Sciences, Humanities, or Education
Proven experience teaching IB TOK, preferably within an American/IB curriculum school
Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and hands-on IB TOK education
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
A strong desire to continually improve their practice and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for their students
