Description
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor network infrastructure and SCADA communication systems supporting power operations.Monitor network uptime, latency, bandwidth and overall performance.Maintain and troubleshoot network and communication equipment.Diagnose connectivity, hardware and software-related network issues.Respond to network/SCADA communication outages and support service restoration.Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls and associated network devices.Support integration between network infrastructure and power control/SCADA systems.Provide technical support for network issues impacting control-center operations.Maintain network configurations, incident records and maintenance documentation.Follow network security, data protection and operational safety requirements.RequirementsTechnical High School/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, IT or related field.Experience in network management, control systems or high-availability networks.Hands-on network infrastructure configuration and troubleshooting experience.Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls and network protocols.Understanding of SCADA systems and their integration with communication/network infrastructure.Knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS and encryption is advantageous.Power/utility/control-center experience is highly preferred.
