Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated specialist/consultant in emergency medicine to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide high-quality emergency medical care, rapidly assess and stabilize critically ill or injured patients, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective treatment.
Key responsibilities
Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, and traumatic emergencies.
Perform rapid triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency interventions.
Manage adult and pediatric emergency cases in accordance with evidence-based clinical guidelines.
Perform emergency procedures such as airway management, intubation, central venous access, chest tube insertion, procedural sedation, and advanced cardiac life support.
Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and referrals to appropriate specialties.
Lead and participate in trauma and cardiac arrest response teams.
Interpret diagnostic investigations, including ECGs, laboratory results, and imaging studies.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and medical records.
Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, morbidity and mortality meetings, and continuing medical education (CME).
Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control protocols.
Participate in rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as required.

Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS (preferred).
Strong clinical decision-making, leadership, and crisis management skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure emergency environment.
