Job description
We are seeking an experienced engineering maintenance manager to join our organization in Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring optimal equipment performance, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. You will manage a team of maintenance professionals while developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance strategies that align with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
Analyze equipment performance data and maintenance metrics to identify trends, optimize processes, and enhance operational efficiency
Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and allocate resources effectively to support operational needs
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry-specific requirements across all maintenance activities
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and external service providers to procure parts, services, and specialized maintenance support
Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and facilities to assess maintenance needs and identify potential risks
Prepare detailed maintenance reports, performance reviews, and recommendations for senior management
Implement and maintain computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant tracking tools
Establish and enforce maintenance protocols, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines
Collaborate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance activities and minimize operational disruptions
Identify training needs and provide onboarding and professional development opportunities for maintenance staff
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in maintenance management or a similar supervisory role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or industrial equipment systems
Proven experience in team leadership, staff management, and performance evaluation
Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and maintenance planning software
Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations, compliance standards, and risk management practices
Demonstrated experience in budget management, cost control, and resource allocation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Proficiency in maintenance planning, scheduling, and coordination
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels
Experience working in the United Arab Emirates or Middle Eastern industrial environment (preferred)
Certification in maintenance management, reliability engineering, or related field (preferred)
Project management experience and skills (preferred)
Advanced technical certifications or specialized equipment expertise (preferred)
