What you will be doing
You will be the client facing lead on a government project for the design, procurement and construction of a one-of-a-kind experiential college. The project will utilize modern methods of construction to streamline construction timelines and reduce time on site. As the project lead you will be solely responsible for the development of the procurement strategy, design management, tender and construction of the facility.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and manage all design stages, from pre-concept through IFC and as-built, across architectural and interior fit-out projects
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities to ensure project alignment with specifications, timelines, and quality standards
Direct and collaborate with remote and on-site teams, including BIM modelers, coordinators, and technical office staff
Manage interdisciplinary design coordination, including architectural, structural, MEP, and landscape disciplines
Conduct design reviews, lead meetings with stakeholders, and ensure effective resolution of clashes and design issues
Oversee preparation of design documentation, presentations, BOQs, and sample boards
Implement value engineering strategies, monitor design budgets, and support procurement processes
Ensure timely project delivery, quality control, and compliance with relevant codes and client requirements
Report progress and risks to project and regional directors
Requirements

10+ years of experience in architecture, design management, and fit-out delivery, preferably in the GCC
Proven experience managing high-value projects (hotels, museums, residential and commercial)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams
Proficiency in industry-standard design management tools and software
Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
