The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in critical care medicine, intensive care, emergency stabilization, and management of critically ill patients, with a strong focus on evidence-based care, patient safety, and multidisciplinary management. The successful candidate will work closely with intensivists, anesthesiologists, emergency physicians, surgeons, cardiologists, pulmonologists, neurologists, nephrologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary critical care team. Key responsibilities Provide comprehensive medical care to critically ill patients in the ICU. Conduct daily clinical assessments and develop individualized critical care management plans. Manage patients with acute and life-threatening medical and surgical conditions. Provide appropriate stabilization and ongoing management of critically ill patients. Manage patients with sepsis, septic shock, respiratory failure, multi-organ dysfunction, and other critical illnesses. Assess and manage patients requiring invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation. Provide appropriate airway management and support during critical emergencies. Monitor and manage hemodynamic instability and circulatory failure. Interpret arterial blood gases, laboratory investigations, ECGs, imaging, and other critical care investigations. Coordinate appropriate fluid management, electrolyte correction, nutritional support, and medication therapy. Manage patients requiring vasopressors, inotropes, sedation, and other critical care therapies. Perform or supervise appropriate ICU procedures within clinical competence and approved scope of practice. Coordinate care for patients requiring renal replacement therapy, advanced respiratory support, or other specialized critical care interventions. Participate in emergency response, resuscitation, and rapid-response activities when required. Collaborate with surgical and medical teams in the management of complex ICU patients. Communicate clearly with patients' families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, prognosis, and goals of care. Participate in multidisciplinary ICU rounds and case discussions. Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential medical records. Follow infection-control, medication-safety, patient-safety, and critical-care protocols.
