Overview of the role:
The Finance Trainee FP&A is responsible for supporting the Financial Planning & Analysis function by assisting in the preparation and circulation of financial reports, managing the budget and forecast submission processes, and conducting in-depth financial analysis. The role requires working closely with the Financial Reporting Manager and involves regular interactions with various stakeholders to ensure effective communication and reporting. A strong understanding of budget processes, financial software, and business operations is essential, as is the ability to handle multiple requests and drive continuous improvement within the finance function.
What you will do:
Monthly MIS
Assist the Financial Reporting Manager in extracting financial reports from various sources and organizing them effectively.
Maintain records of reported business performance for future reference.
Circulate monthly MIS reports to relevant stakeholders.
Budget & forecast submission
Understand and gradually take over the budget and forecast submission process in SAP & BPC, handling quarterly uploads end-to-end.
Inform relevant stakeholders of the final budget & forecast P&L for their respective SBUs.
Financial analysis
Collaborate with the Financial Reporting Manager to conduct monthly variance analysis for each line of business (LOB).
Provide meaningful insights from financial data to enhance business decisions.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of business operations to identify instances of over/under spending.
Support ad-hoc requests
Assist in closing ad-hoc requests from Business Analysts and Operations team.
Collaborate with the larger Finance team to meet Group Reporting requirements.

What qualifies you for the role:
