Are you a deal-driven Senior Associate ready to lead J.P. Morgan’s fintech M&A and partnership growth?

As a Senior Associate on our Corporate Development & Partnerships team, you will help drive Global Banking’s inorganic growth by evaluating and executing high-impact acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships across Global Investment Banking, Global Corporate Banking, and Commercial Banking.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end execution of corporate development initiatives, including acquisition and investment opportunities (from diligence through execution and integration support).
  • Conduct financial and strategic analyses (e.g., business cases, valuation support, synergy assessment, and risk/mitigant articulation) to inform investment decisions.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of acquisitions and investments; synthesize insights and recommend actions to improve outcomes.
  • Perform market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential partners, including within the fintech ecosystem.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., product, technology, controls, legal, operations, and senior leadership) and external counterparties as appropriate.
  • Support partnership development, including contribution to commercial terms, deal structuring, and negotiation support, in alignment with strategic objectives and applicable policies and controls.
  • Prepare clear written materials and presentations for senior stakeholders, including investment committee-style updates and decision memos.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate development, fintech, strategy, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting end-to-end transaction execution (e.g., M&A, minority investments, partnerships, and/or capital markets-related transactions).
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills; ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable recommendations and plans.
  • Analytical and structured problem-solving approach; ability to assess competitive landscapes and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and follow-through.

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience with fintech partnership models and/or fintech ecosystem coverage.
  • Prior experience developing investment cases, including assessment of revenue opportunities, implementation considerations, and risk management.
