Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering, with a strong academic record.

  • TAQA Competency certification is an advantage.

  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant industry experience in instrumentation and control systems.

  • Experience in the oil and gas, water and power plant is desired.

Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and optimize instrumentation associated with potable water, wastewater, and booster pump stations.Monitor and maintain pressure transmitters, flow meters, suction/discharge pressure instruments, vibration sensors, temperature sensors, and motor monitoring devices.Ensure proper operation of pump control systems including PLC-based sequencing, duty/standby changeover, and automatic start/stop functions.Diagnose and rectify faults related to pump control circuits, motor control panels, VFDs, soft starters, and protection relays.Monitor pump performance through SCADA and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency and reliability.Conduct functional testing of pump interlocks, shutdown logic, alarms, permissives, and protection schemes.Support condition monitoring activities including vibration, bearing temperature, and motor health monitoring systems.Maintain and troubleshoot air compressor control systems, air dryers, receivers, and pneumatic instrumentation.Calibrate and maintain pressure switches, pressure transmitters, dew point analyzers, flow monitoring devices, and compressor instrumentation.Ensure reliable operation of instrument air systems supporting actuated valves and plant automation equipment.Monitor compressor status, alarms, pressure levels, and operating parameters through SCADA and local control systems.Perform testing and maintenance of compressor protection functions, interlocks, emergency shutdowns, and sequencing controls.Troubleshoot pneumatic control loops, solenoid valves, electro-pneumatic positioners, and air-operated actuators.Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted instrument air supply to critical water utility assets.Analyze compressor performance and recommend measures to improve energy efficiency and system reliability.Troubleshoot actuator communication and control issues with PLC, RTU, and SCADA systems.
