Role overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Manage acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, electrolyte disorders, glomerular disease and hypertension.
Oversee haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and renal replacement therapy planning.
Provide inpatient nephrology consultations and outpatient continuity of care for complex renal patients.
Coordinate care with urology, vascular surgery, cardiology, endocrinology, ICU and transplant teams.
Guide medication optimisation, renal nutrition, patient education and complication prevention.
Support dialysis quality indicators, infection control, audit and renal service governance.
